Premium materials and upper construction
The upper of the SCARPA Ribelle HD model is made from a combination of Perwanger® leather and durable fabric, providing optimal mechanical protection and resistance to harsh weather conditions. A full rand around the boot effectively protects against damage from rocks or ice, while the high-cut upper stabilises the ankle joint when moving through challenging terrain. The boots are compatible with semi-automatic crampons, increasing their versatility on glaciers and steep slopes.
Vibram® Mont sole and polyurethane cushioning
The Vibram® Mont outsole guarantees maximum grip and abrasion resistance on varied high-altitude terrain. The midsole, made of polyurethane with varied density, effectively absorbs shocks, ensuring comfort over long distances. The boots are durable, the sole is stiff, after 13 hours of wading in wet snow and positive temperatures the foot was quite damp but not excessively wet, the ct crampons sit well, you just have to press them firmly with the straps so that the rear cage is not loose and rubbing against the boot, because of the hard sole the boot slips but not excessively

Boots bought a week ago. Immediately 22 km to Rysy from the Slovakian side. I received what I expected i.e. stiff sole and good grip. No problems when ascending and descending. I am a size 42 and I bought a size 44 because I tried on a different model. I think that the size is a bit too small, so I suggest 2 sizes bigger, especially for thicker socks. No chafing, but the distance itself was a pain. I sincerely recommend.
