The La Sportiva brand started in 1928 in the Italian Dolomites (Ziano di Fiemme) thanks to Narciso Delladio and initially specialized in rubber footwear for farmers. Currently, the company is active in the market of professional mountain footwear (distribution to 70 countries), which it has been producing since World War II (created for Italian soldiers). La Sportiva is primarily high-quality climbing shoes, including iconic models: Miura (including the limited edition Miura XX with the signature of Czech climber Adam Ondra), Katana and Otaki. The brand focuses on high-quality materials, attention to detail and innovative technologies that allow every mountain enthusiast to take full advantage of their abilities and reach higher and farther.
In addition to shoes and clothing, La Sportiva also produces climbing accessories, backpacks, hats, gloves, as well as specialized equipment such as helmets and harnesses.
The Italian manufacturer's activities also include expedition boots (appreciated by such Himalayan climbers as Simone Moro - dedicated G2 model, or Dennis Urubko), high trekking boots and low trekking boots, approach and off-road running shoes, but also clothing, such as trekking shirts.
The main goal and basis of La Sportiva's business is customer satisfaction with efficient and technically advanced products that ensure safety and comfort while respecting the environment (e.g. by recovering as much as possible of the waste generated during production and constantly seeking new forms of recycling). The brand has obtained UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
La Sportiva is also active in the ski mountaineering and outdoor clothing segments, offering a complete selection of technical clothing for running, ski mountaineering and climbing.
