Ski goggles Giro Roam red/black faded/amber scarlet/yellow (7172112)

The Giro Roam ski goggles in red/black faded/amber scarlet/yellow provide precise visibility on the slope thanks to advanced optical technologies and carefully selected materials. Two interchangeable lenses, categorized as S2 and S0, allow for quick adaptation to changing lighting conditions while skiing.

Optical Technologies and Lens Construction

The Giro Roam features a cylindrical lens made of durable polycarbonate, which offers a wide field of vision and effective mechanical protection. The PressFit Lens Interchange system enables easy lens replacement, and the Anti-fog coating effectively prevents fogging during intense activity. UV 400 protection guarantees complete filtration of sunlight, ensuring eye safety in high-altitude sun conditions.

User Comfort and OTG Functionality

The OTG construction allows for comfortable wear of the Giro Roam goggles over prescription glasses, increasing the versatility of the product. An effective ventilation system prevents fog accumulation inside the goggles even in demanding conditions. Light transmission at 39% in the main lens provides an optimal balance between protection and image clarity.

Set of Interchangeable Lenses and Filter Categories

Included in the set are two lenses: S2 for moderate sunlight and S0 for very poor visibility conditions. Quick lens changes using the PressFit system allow immediate adjustment of eye protection to current needs. Advantages

UV protection 400
The UV 400 filter used in the glazing is guaranteed to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It blocks 99.9% of wavelengths up to 400 nanometres, both UVA, UVB and UVC. The use of goggles with UV protection is a cornerstone that can prevent serious health problems.
Glazing category S1
An S1-rated windscreen works well when riding on cloudy and foggy days, as well as at night on the slopes with artificial lighting. Absorbing between 20 and 57% of light, they are clear and usually slightly tinted.
Glazing category S2
The lens with the S2 category is the most versatile. It will work well on a slightly cloudy day as well as when the sun is not too strong. It absorbs between 57 and 82% of light and has a slightly darkened surface.
Glass included
Depending on the conditions on the slopes, it is sometimes required to change to a different windshield that is better suited to the lighting parameters. The additional interchangeable windshield included with the goggles gives you more options and allows you to quickly customise the goggles.
Anti-Fog coating
Temperature fluctuations can cause unwanted fogging on the inside of the lens. To prevent this effect from occurring, the lens is treated with a special coating that prevents fogging. This increases safety and comfort when on the slopes.
OTG design
OTG, or Over The Glasses, is information for those who wear corrective glasses. The goggles are designed so that the space underneath can easily accommodate glasses without causing uncomfortable pressure. Goggles with OTG are the choice for people who don[t like to ride with a visor integrated into the helmet, but don[t want to give up comfort when riding.
Anti-fog
An anti-fog coating that is applied, among other things, to the surface of specialised spectacle lenses. The Anti-fog coating retains its properties regardless of weather conditions, even when in contact with water. As a result, it contributes to maintaining undisturbed visual acuity, which increases the comfort and safety of the wearer.
Expansion View (EXV)
Expansion View Technology (EXV) in the goggles increases the field of vision by engineering frameless zones and large, spherical lenses. This ensures maximum peripheral visibility, which is crucial for safety and performance in winter sports.
PressFit Lens Interchange System
Giro's PressFit Lens Interchange System allows you to easily and quickly change the lenses on your goggles with a simple snap-in mechanism. It is ideal for skiers and snowboarders who need to quickly adjust their goggles to changing light and weather conditions.
