Lightweight, the leg does not overheat, and they protect very well. After 30 km on variable mountain surfaces (mud, sand, stones, mulch) nothing fell into the boots. I don't know if they would have worked with another shoe, as the velcro at the back on the Altras does help hold them in place though. The lack of a rubber strap under the shoe, which in other stuput quickly rubs off and reduces the grip of the sole is great. Easy machine washable. Pity they don't come in smaller sizes, as S/M for boots 39 is a bit too big.

The best stuput I have had so far. Putting them on is not a hassle. Nothing happens to them during the run and the lack of a strap under the sole changes everything! The extra velcro makes them easy to transport, nothing gets caught.
