Purchased under kimono for husband and son. In the sleeves and waist they have a silicone strip on the inside (I think), so they do not roll up, look great and work as they should. We ended up exchanging for a larger size with my mom - the material is firm, slightly compressive, so if you're hesitating on the size, probably get the larger one.
