Nordica Spitfire TI + TP2LT11 FDT red/anthrazite downhill skis (0A3540OD001)

Nordica Spitfire TI alpine skis, equipped with TP2LT11 FDT bindings, are an excellent choice for skiers who value performance and versatility on groomed trails. This high-performance carving ski was designed for those who love dynamic skiing on groomers but at the same time seek skis that are a bit less demanding.

The Energy TI construction in Nordica Spitfire TI skis provides an optimal combination of stiffness and flexibility. The use of a single metal layer combined with a wood core makes the skis stable yet flexible enough to easily adapt to changing slope conditions.

The skis are equipped with the FDT Race Plate N system, which combines comfort and high performance. This plate can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools thanks to the Fast Demo Track. With this mechanism, binding adjustment is simple and requires no additional equipment, allowing optimal customization to the skier’s needs, enhancing skiing performance.

Sidewalls in the Spitfire TI skis provide additional core protection, increase ski durability, and improve energy transmission. The sidewalls add stiffness to the edge sections of the skis, which increases precision and control while skiing.

Appropriate shape

The Multi Radius Sidecut in skis uses a multi-shape concept, combining the characteristics of slalom (SL) skis at the front and rear of the ski with the properties of giant slalom (GS) skis in the middle section. This provides better responsiveness from edge to edge, easy turning, as well as greater stability and enjoyment while riding.

TP2LT11 FDT bindings offer a DIN range from 3 to 11, which is ideal for a wide range of skiers with varying levels of experience. They allow for precise adjustment of the release force of the bindings, ensuring the appropriate level of safety and performance.

    Super

Visually nice skis, practical test in winter. I appreciate the possibility to adjust the bindings, but I would also welcome a ski service for a reasonable fee - edge sanding and waxing.

Sizes table

Once you have determined your recommended ski size range, now you need to decide if you prefer a longer ski or a shorter ski. In general shorter skis will be easier to maneuver while longer skis will be more stable. Narrower carving skis with smaller turn radiuses and full camber can be skied shorter, while wider all mountain and freeski skis with more rocker can be skied longer. Rockered skis have a shorter contact length with the snow which makes it easier to pivot and steer, however we recommend sizing up skis with a lot of rocker in order to maintain stability.

Below are several reasons to help you make this decision.

GO SHORTER, CLOSER TO YOUR CHIN IF:

    1. You are a beginner-intermediate level skier,

    2. You prefer making shorter/quicker turns,

    3. You are looking for a carving ski.

GO LONGER, CLOSER TO THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD IF:

    1. You are an advanced-expert level skier,

    2. You like skiing fast and making longer turns,

    3. You mostly ski off trial,

    4. You are looking at a ski with a lot of rocker.
