Technology based on a ‘matrix’ of large gold dots visible to the naked eye. Provides 40% more insulation than conventional Omni-Heat systems, while maintaining the same high level of breathability and moisture wicking.

An external thermal shield technology developed by the Columbia brand that provides protection from the cold. The system works in a similar way to solar panels. It works by applying thousands of multi-layered aluminium black dots to the outside of the garment. The dots capture the sun's heat and retain it in the fabric.
