The precise construction and innovative technologies enhance user comfort both on the slopes and during dynamic activities in the mountains.

    VIVID lenses with ZEISS® optics

    The Giro Axis model features VIVID Lens Shield lenses with ZEISS® optics, distinguished by excellent light transmission and improved contrast on snow. The lenses are classified as S3 and S1, with an easy Quick Change System for adapting the goggles to current weather conditions. A high level of UV400 protection effectively shields against harmful ultraviolet radiation.

    Construction and materials

    The durable cylindrical lens is made from polycarbonate, ensuring resistance to impacts and scratches during everyday use. An additional Anti-Fog coating minimizes the accumulation of water vapour on the lens surface. An extra S1 lens is included in the set, making the Giro Axis midnight brown stacked/vivid petrol/vivid infrared ready for any weather.

    Advantages

    UV protection 400
    The UV 400 filter used in the glazing is guaranteed to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It blocks 99.9% of wavelengths up to 400 nanometres, both UVA, UVB and UVC. The use of goggles with UV protection is a cornerstone that can prevent serious health problems.
    Glazing category S3
    The category S3 windscreen is designed for riding in strong and harsh sunlight. It will work well for people who are hypersensitive to light and on high-altitude slopes without shaded areas. It absorbs between 82 and 92% of light and has a darkened surface.
    Glazing category S1
    An S1-rated windscreen works well when riding on cloudy and foggy days, as well as at night on the slopes with artificial lighting. Absorbing between 20 and 57% of light, they are clear and usually slightly tinted.
    Glass included
    Depending on the conditions on the slopes, it is sometimes required to change to a different windshield that is better suited to the lighting parameters. The additional interchangeable windshield included with the goggles gives you more options and allows you to quickly customise the goggles.
    Anti-Fog coating
    Temperature fluctuations can cause unwanted fogging on the inside of the lens. To prevent this effect from occurring, the lens is treated with a special coating that prevents fogging. This increases safety and comfort when on the slopes.
    OTG design
    OTG, or Over The Glasses, is information for those who wear corrective glasses. The goggles are designed so that the space underneath can easily accommodate glasses without causing uncomfortable pressure. Goggles with OTG are the choice for people who don[t like to ride with a visor integrated into the helmet, but don[t want to give up comfort when riding.
