Impact protection
Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
Hardshell construction
The construction combines two layers. One In mould layer with a much harder and thicker outer shell layer. These layers are not closely interconnected and the helmet itself is nevertheless characterised by a higher weight thanks to this construction.
Active ventilation
The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.
EN 1077 certification
This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
EPS inner shell
Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
Adjustment of size by means of a dial
A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.
Hardshell
Special helmet shell moulding technology applied to EPS foam. Guarantees high resistance to external impacts and absorbs shocks.
Integrated MIPS
Integrated MIPS is a brain protection system that minimises the risk of injury during impacts. It works thanks to a special inner layer that reduces the rotational forces transmitted to the head. It increases the safety of the wearer by protecting the brain in sudden shock situations.
In Form™ Fit System
The In Form™ Fit System is a helmet fit system that allows for quick and easy size adjustments, even when wearing gloves. An ergonomic dial located at the base of the helmet provides up to 6 cm of adjustment. The system also incorporates a vertical adjustment feature, allowing the helmet to fit better over ski goggles.
Super Cool™
The Super Cool™ technology in Giro helmets is a ventilation system that efficiently introduces fresh air and exhausts warm air, ensuring effective temperature regulation and all-day comfort. A key element of this technology is the optimisation of the shape and efficiency of the vents, which increases the overall cooling capacity.
Removable Cheek Pads
An interchangeable cheek pad allows the helmet to be customised to the wearer's individual needs. This is a practical solution that allows you to easily adjust the size of the interior of the helmet, which translates into comfort and safety when wearing it. In addition, the inserts can be easily removed and cleaned, making it much easier to maintain hygiene.
