The outer material (Pertex) is extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. I confirm one of the comments, the down filling leaks out - I've been using the jacket for a week, maybe this won't be a problem after that. Feeling warm/cold is a matter for the individual but this model is quite 'skinny' and if someone is a frosty person then maybe they should look for another jacket. Up to 0 degrees C it should satisfy most people, in freezing temperatures not necessarily (in urban conditions). If someone wants to use it during various sports activities, it will provide them with adequate thermal comfort.
