What distinguishes this model is the new wooden core used, the P2 SUPERLIGHT CORE™. This combination of poplar and paulownia resulted in an extremely strong and very lightweight, energetic core. Maximum pop and high durability are its main advantages. To further increase the durability of this model, FORTRESS™ ARAMID BOUND SIDEWALLS have been applied, which protect the board from damage. Aramid fibers also provide excellent vibration damping.  

Defenders Of Awesome Wide also uses longitudinal reinforcements made of lightweight carbon strips, which increase its power and responsiveness. This model also uses MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN combined with inserts above and below the core made of SPECIAL BLEND FIBERGLASS, which increase the strength and durability of the board. The eco-friendly resin provides the board with good properties without negatively affecting its weight. All of this together makes this model survive the most demanding and wild adventures on the slope.

It also features full sidewalls made of ABS and high-quality inserts made of stainless steel 4 x 2, and the board is finished with a Multitech™ Level 5 DeepSpace™ laminate with a PAM16000™ top layer.
