Good shoes, but...

They rub my heels terribly. If you’re covering quite long distances, your toes start to hurt at around 15–20 km, especially when going downhill. They’re very good shoes; I really like them – they’re sturdy and the waterproofing works well – but they’re unusable, which is a shame.

A disappointment...

Compared to the Columbia shoes I’ve worn so far, the CMPs are a real let-down – despite having broken them in in urban conditions for over three weeks. They’re narrow (I knew this before buying them) – but I have narrow feet, so I didn’t expect any problems. I’ve just returned from the Sudetes. I’ve developed a blister above my heel. The heel counter is relatively stiff. Despite wearing trekking socks and lacing the boots correctly, I experienced significant discomfort on both sides of my feet (at the front) whilst walking downhill. This happened after every 15–20 km stretch I covered. I was relieved to take my boots off after the hike – and had to wait a long time for the red marks to fade (fortunately, no grazes). I’ve ‘taken offence’ at the Columbia CRESTWOOD – because the way they attach the waterproof membrane (a heat-seal that ‘tends’ to come apart) led to my boots getting soaked (a widely discussed problem online)... but I suppose I’ll have to go back to the brand whose boots are simply incredibly comfortable the moment you put them on...
There are pros too:
- appearance
- lightness
- grip
- waterproofing
But unfortunately, I can’t recommend them and I’ll have to look for another model...

After one day of walking I can't judge the durability, but the shoes look pretty solid. As far as comfort is concerned, in general it is ok, but unfortunately after the first walk in them I have already acquired an abrasion on the back of my foot. The lower part of the shoe's upper is made of hard material and the upper of soft material and the connection of these parts at the back of the shoe is not sufficiently padded on the inside of the shoe and this, in my opinion, caused the above-mentioned problem.
Other than that, the boots are nice and lightweight.

Revelation!

Very comfortable, warm and lightweight boots. I bought with a view to daily walking in the current conditions (snow, temp -10st) - sensational comfort, warm, and the feet do not cook. I am mega satisfied. The only remark is the suggestion on the website about the undersize, I took 45, and it seems to me, however, 45 would be enough. Anyway, the wearing comfort is very high. I recommend

Narrow

Unfortunately, I don't know about the quality, durability, etc., because it was so tight that I could barely squeeze my feet in, even though I ordered 1 size larger, "just in case". I didn't want to suffer so much with putting on and taking off shoes, so I sent them back (no size exchange unfortunately!!!) After I put them on, they were not uncomfortable, but they were obviously tight at the foot and I could hardly tie them on because the laces were short. There's a seam in the heel that was quite a bit of pressure on my heel. I think that would rip apart in a couple of weeks.
Otherwise it looks good. Unfortunately it's not as brown as most of the pictures. The pictures here are grey, which is closer to the real thing.

Everything is very good
