SCARPA

SCARPA

Although the Scarpa brand was founded in 1938, its development came in 1956, when it passed into the hands of the Italian Parisotto family. From its inception, the brand gathered around it professional shoemakers who turned their practical experience into the production of innovative shoes. Relatively quickly, compared to other brands, Scarpa footwear used the now iconic Gore-Tex® membrane and other modern materials, which brought the brand particular fame and became a milestone for its development. Today Scarpa is one of the leading leaders in the production of specialized trekking, high-altitude and climbing boots. In 2005, the Italian manufacturer opened its new headquarters for the foreign market - in North America.

In the 1970s Scarpa released professional alpine skiing boots, which quickly revolutionized the market and became the benchmark for their further production. Shortly thereafter, plastic climbing boots also saw the light of day, which were used by world-famous Himalayans and mountaineers.

The company uses many modern technologies in its products, such as BI-TENSION, Vibram, ACTIVImpact and SCARPA Sock Fit DV, which take care of their durability and greatly improve their comfort. Scarpa's assortment includes many collections of footwear designed for various physical activities. These include the Zodiac approach model, the Mojito Hike GTX hiking model, the Highball hiking model and the Mojito urban model.

In 2021, Scarpa presented its Green Manifesto (“Green Manifesto”) to the world, where it declared that it would strive over the next few years to produce as sustainably as possible, rely on European and certified materials, and manufacture in the spirit of zero waste, thus significantly reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
