The Shimano Nasci FC reel sets a new standard in the extremely popular series of affordable reels, utilizing the HAGANE concept. The new version of this model is equipped with a HAGANE gear, cold-forged from a single piece of aluminum. The gear is the most important internal component of the reel, responsible for its proper operation. Thanks to it, the reel has adequate power and resistance to overloads. Due to the cold forging process, this gear features high durability and slower wear compared to those die-cast from liquid aluminum.

This model is equipped with SilentDrive technology, which guarantees smooth operation in all conditions. Additionally, it is sealed with CoreProtect, which uses a special coating applied to the bearing seat, responsible for condensing and expelling water outside. This better protects the drive components from water exposure, ensuring the reel serves the user longer. The same sealing has been applied to the line roller to guarantee its longer lifespan.

This model features a very efficient X-Ship drive. It is a specially patented design supported on both sides by bearings that cushion it during overloads. Furthermore, for better rod balance with this reel, G-Free Body technology has been applied. It allowed shifting the reel’s center of gravity closer to the angler’s hand.

The reel body is made of lightweight Ci4+ carbon. This improves the casting properties of the reel and user comfort.
