The Salewa Wildfire Leather 2 GTX men's approach shoes in faded green/black combine advanced water protection technologies with durability and breathability provided by the natural leather upper. GORE-TEX® membrane in the upper
The GORE-TEX® membrane used in this model guarantees high waterproofing, effectively protecting the feet from moisture during rain and when crossing wet sections of trails. At the same time, the membrane enables efficient air circulation, which contributes to maintaining thermal comfort and wicking excess moisture from the inside of the shoe. As a result, the Salewa Wildfire Leather 2 GTX allows for prolonged use in varied weather conditions.
Pomoca® outsole
The Pomoca® outsole provides traction on various surfaces, enhancing safety while traversing rocky or muddy paths. The advanced Pomoca® rubber compound is characterized by durability and stability even on wet ground. The specially designed tread pattern supports precise foot placement on steep sections of the trail.
Durable materials and fit
The upper is made of high-quality leather that combines durability with natural breathability, while the full rand further protects against mechanical damage from stones or roots. The Salewa Wildfire Leather 2 GTX shoes are equipped with a Custom Fit Footbed, which guarantees an individual fit to the shape of the foot and supports comfort during long walks. JaroNot quite ideal
This is my second Wildfire and unfortunately the new generation is a step backwards in some details.
On the plus side, you can certainly count the build quality and design (it is among the best on the market). Unfortunately, the comfort of use is much worse. The sole is too stiff for comfortable walking on lighter terrain, in addition they require rather thick socks - the inside of the upper of both shoes on the border of the toe and the midfoot causes chafing. In the first generation shoes, you can play around with barefoot walking without the slightest problem.- Mateusz
