The kayak is made using drop stitch technology, which, when inflated, achieves high stiffness comparable to traditional hard constructions. This allows the Monroy model not only to paddle comfortably in a sitting position but also to stand freely, like on a classic SUP board. A very good thing. A kayak you can stand on. Long, with a sharp bow and stern, high pressure (10 psi), it goes well. It is comfortable to sit and paddle. I must say right away that this paddle is not a sap/kayak paddle, but purely for kayaking. Standing paddling is less comfortable, but you can get used to it.
I have a lot of positive emotions from my first walk. You can swim quickly when you are sitting, and you can lie down, sleep, stand.
There are some minor disadvantages:
- The instructions came for a sapa, not for this kayak, there are no instructions on how to install the seats... but at least you can see the photos here, I would also like instructions on how to properly pack the kayak in the bag, because it was not very obvious to me.
- Maybe a little bit of legroom for the front passenger, but not critical
- There is essentially no space for luggage in the front and back of the kayak - again, not critical, but if there was a little more space, it would be a masterpiece
- The keel is perhaps a little small, but not critical.
In general, a very good thing for the money. A huge bonus is that the kayak is a two-seater from the factory. I have only positive emotions about this kayak, I highly recommend it if you need a two-seater sap or a two-seater kayak.
