Keeping the language in place – a new lacing system
The HOKA Clifton 10 is equipped with an improved lacing system featuring a double-lace lock, which effectively keeps the tongue in place throughout the activity. This solution prevents the material from shifting, eliminating discomfort and the need to constantly adjust the tongue while running.
Meta-Rocker™ and fluid rolling.
The MetaRocker™ technology is responsible for the dynamic roll of the foot from heel to toe, making the running motion smoother and more natural. This effect has been further enhanced by refining the heel area and the Active Foot Frame™ chassis, which stabilises the rear part of the foot without stiffening it.
Grip and durability
The lower part of the shoe has been reinforced with wear-resistant rubber, which covers the key areas of the outer sole that are subject to the greatest strain. This design increases not only the durability of the model but also significantly improves grip on various types of surfaces – from asphalt to concrete walkways and hardened park paths.

I'll start with the only small downside: the heel hold is a little too weak, causing the foot to run slightly inwards. I compared with the Asics NovaBlast 5 and here there is, apart from the heel hold, the same comfort. I checked in parallel the Saucony Triumph (more room in the toe), Asics Gel Nimbus 27 (tight toe box and too much selected sole under the toes), Hoka Bondi 9 (too narrow in the front of the foot), Hoka Arahi 7 (completely ruined compared to the 6 I have run in so far). In summary very nice shoes, comfortable, with nice cushioning. We'll see how they perform with heel hold over time.
