The Rab Namche GTX footprint men's rain jacket sets a new standard of protection on mountain trails thanks to the use of an advanced GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane used in this model, with waterproofing of 28000 mm H2O and breathability RET <13, creates an effective barrier against rain and wind while allowing efficient moisture wicking during intense activity. I have been using the jacket for some time now. It has withstood 3 hours of fairly intense rainfall without any problems. Breathability at a good level, with appropriate base clothing. Size S for a person 174 fits just right, does not restrict movement. It is even possible to wear a thin down jacket underneath. The hood is generous enough to accommodate a helmet, although this model is not helmet-proof. I rate the workmanship of the jacket as good. The seams are not even and are pulled at some points. The drawstring on the hood is joined at the point where it touches the hood and it is not comfortable, compared to Arc'teryx where it is refined. The main zipper opens and slides quite hard. Quite a generous guard, I don't know for what purpose? Rain gets in there after a while
I have tested a few jackets and this model is quite successful looking at the value for money, cut and material so I decided to go for this model.
