Marin Nicasio 1 700C bone grey gravel bike is a technically advanced model designed for enthusiasts riding on various surfaces. It is equipped with Marin Aluminum Double Wall wheels with an internal width of 19 mm, adapted for disc brake systems. Thanks to 160 mm discs both front and rear, the bike provides effective braking in challenging terrain conditions.

Frame and geometry

The bike frame is made of Steezy Double Butted CrMo steel, which guarantees durability and riding comfort. The 700C Wheels and Beyond Road Geometry design makes the Marin Nicasio 1 ideal for both road and off-road riding. Additionally, the frame has mounts for fenders and a rack, increasing its functionality. The fork is also made of CrMo and equipped with mounts for fenders and a rack as well as an IS Disc Mount.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain is based on Shimano Claris components, including 2x8-Speed shifters and front and rear derailleurs. The FSA Tempo Compact crankset with 50/34T chainrings combined with the SunRace 8-Speed 11-32T cassette provides a wide gear range, facilitating riding on various terrains. The KMC Z8 chain is adapted for 16 speeds, which affects smoothness and precision of gear changes.

Comfort and ergonomics

The bike is equipped with a Marin Beyond Road Concept saddle and Marin Comfort Tape grips, which increase comfort on longer rides. The Marin Butted Alloy handlebar with a 16º flared drop allows for comfortable hand positioning and bike control. The Marin Alloy seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm additionally enhances riding comfort.

Components and equipment

The bike features hubs made of forged aluminum, adapted for disc brakes, with 32 holes. The Tektro MDC400 brakes are mechanical disc brakes that provide effectiveness and ease of maintenance. Pedals are also included in the set, allowing for immediate riding. The Marin 3D Forged Alloy stem completes the construction, offering durability and stability.
