Frame and Suspension

The Marin Rift Zone 2 27.5 gloss grey/black mountain bike features a sturdy frame made from 3 6061 series aluminum. It is equipped with the MultiTrac suspension system, offering 130 mm of travel, which provides excellent shock absorption when riding on rough terrain. The frame is designed for 27.5-inch wheels, ensuring great maneuverability and control on the trail. Additionally, the use of a Boost 148x12 mm axle increases the stiffness of the construction, resulting in better stability while riding.

Wheels and Tires

The Marin Rift Zone 2 is equipped with Marin Double Wall Alloy wheels with a 29 mm internal width, compatible with the tubeless system. These wheels, featuring a 32-hole design and special discs, offer excellent durability and stability. The Vee Tire Co. Snap WCE 27.5x2.35" tires with Top 40 compound, GXE core, and 90 TPI density are also tubeless-ready, allowing for reduced rotational weight and increased puncture resistance.

Drivetrain and Transmission

The bike is equipped with a 12-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain system, including SL-M6100-R shifters and an SGS rear derailleur. The FSA Comet crankset with MegaTooth technology and a 32T Direct Mount chainring ensures smooth and precise gear changes. The SunRace 11-51T cassette provides a wide gear range, ideal for tackling various terrains. The KMC X-12 Silver and Black chain completes this advanced drivetrain system.

Brakes and Control

The braking system is based on Tektro HD-M535 hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors, providing reliable and effective stopping power in all conditions. The Marin Mini-Riser handlebar, made from 6061 aluminum and 780 mm wide, offers a secure grip and control over the bike. Marin Grizzly Lock On grips and the Marin 3D Forged Alloy stem complete the ergonomics and riding comfort.

Suspension and Additional Components

The Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork offers 140 mm of travel and Rail Damper suspension with Sweep adjustment, allowing precise tuning to riding style. The RockShox Deluxe Select RT damper with Debonair technology and rebound adjustment adds riding comfort. The X-Fusion Manic seatpost with 150-170 mm travel (depending on size) and the Marin Speed Concept saddle provide user comfort.
