Frame and Suspension

The Marin Bolinas Ridge 2 27.5 gloss black/blue mountain bike features a sturdy frame made from Series 1 6061 aluminum. The frame design provides a low standover height, making it easier to mount and dismount the bike. The bike is equipped with an SR Suntour XCM DS fork with 100 mm travel suspension, which allows preload adjustment and has a 46 mm offset, improving ride comfort on rough terrain.

Wheels and Tires

The Marin Bolinas Ridge 2 comes with 27.5-inch wheels made from double-wall aluminum alloy, ensuring durability and strength. The 27.5x2.25” MTB tires provide excellent grip and control on varied surfaces. The forged alloy hubs, designed for disc brakes, have 32 holes, guaranteeing stability and reliability of the build.

Drivetrain and Derailleurs

The bike features a 3x8 drivetrain, offering a total of 24 gears to adapt to diverse terrain conditions. Shimano Altus 3x8-Speed shifters and a Shimano Altus 8-Speed rear derailleur ensure precise gear changes. The Shimano FD-TY700 front derailleur works with a crankset featuring aluminum crank arms and steel chainrings sized 42/34/24T.

Brakes and Other Components

Hydraulic Tektro HDM275 disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and rear guarantee reliable and effective braking in all weather conditions. The sealed cartridge bottom bracket with a square taper provides smooth drivetrain operation. The set also includes a Marin MTB saddle and a 27.2 mm diameter aluminum seatpost.

Handlebar and Ergonomics

The Marin handlebar, 780 mm wide with a 12 mm rise, offers a secure grip and control over the bike. The stem and grips also come from Marin, and their solid construction and ergonomic shape enhance riding comfort. The grips are closed at the ends, which further increases their durability and user comfort.
