POC Fovea Mid Photochromic uranium black/photochromic/changeable sky blue ski goggles (40864)

POC Fovea Mid Photochromic ski goggles define a modern approach to protection and visibility on the slopes through advanced optical technologies. This model features Clarity Photochromic lenses, which dynamically adjust the light transmission from 13% to 55%, responding to changing weather conditions while skiing.

Clarity Photochromic Lens Technology

The Clarity Photochromic lens uses photochromatic technology that automatically darkens or lightens depending on the light intensity, ensuring optimal visibility both in bright sunlight and on overcast days. The UV-400 protection applied in this model effectively blocks harmful ultraviolet radiation. The lens is also coated with a hydrophobic layer that repels water and dirt, keeping the lens surface clean even during dynamic rides.

Advanced Protection on the Slopes

The UV-400 sun protection used in this model effectively safeguards the skier's eyes from the negative effects of sunlight at high altitudes. The tint categories cover S1, S2, and S3, allowing for comfortable skiing in both low and intense light. The goggles provide full functionality thanks to the combination of hydrophobic and anti-fog coatings, eliminating visibility disruptions during fast descents.

POC Fovea Mid Photochromic ski goggles uranium black/photochromic /changeable sky blue - features:

  • Clarity Photochromic lens with automatic tint adjustment;
  • Light transmission range of 13–55% for a wide spectrum of conditions;

Advantages

UV protection 400
The UV 400 filter used in the glazing is guaranteed to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It blocks 99.9% of wavelengths up to 400 nanometres, both UVA, UVB and UVC. The use of goggles with UV protection is a cornerstone that can prevent serious health problems.
Photochromic window
The photochromic windscreen provides comfort when driving in changing weather and lighting conditions. The photochromic lens adjusts the degree of darkening itself, protecting the eyes from sudden glare and preventing insufficient visibility when driving into shaded areas.
Hydrophobic coating
The lens has been coated with a special coating so that drops hitting the lens surface do not smear, but drip off. This does not impair visual acuity in difficult conditions. The lens itself is thus easy to keep clean, as the coating repels water and grease, and fingerprints rub off very easily.
Glazing category S1-S3
The S1-S3 rated glazing is a variable brightness glazing that adapts its shading to the prevailing light conditions on the slopes. On cloudy days they take on the S1 category, during moderate conditions S2 and in stronger sunlight S3.
Anti-Fog coating
Temperature fluctuations can cause unwanted fogging on the inside of the lens. To prevent this effect from occurring, the lens is treated with a special coating that prevents fogging. This increases safety and comfort when on the slopes.
Anti-fog
An anti-fog coating that is applied, among other things, to the surface of specialised spectacle lenses. The Anti-fog coating retains its properties regardless of weather conditions, even when in contact with water. As a result, it contributes to maintaining undisturbed visual acuity, which increases the comfort and safety of the wearer.
Clarity Lens Technology
By adjusting the colour curve and controlling the spectrum, the lenses enhance every detail, providing a full image and clear vision of objects.
