    Hardshell outer shell and EPS protection

    The Hard Shell construction utilises a durable outer shell and an inner layer made of EPS polystyrene, providing effective impact energy absorption and increasing safety levels. The UVEX Instinct Visor model meets the requirements of the EN 1077:2007 CLASS B standard, ensuring compliance with stringent skiing standards. This combination of materials and certified protection results in enhanced durability and resistance to mechanical damage.

    Technologies enhancing functionality

    The IAS adjustment system allows for precise fitting of the helmet to the head circumference, while the Monomatic fastening enables convenient and quick one-handed fastening. The Supravision® technology used in this model reduces visor fogging, while the OTG (Over The Glasses) solution allows glasses wearers to comfortably use the helmet. The integrated visor provides eye protection and comfort without the need for separate goggles.

    Advantages

    Impact protection
    Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
    Hardshell construction
    The construction combines two layers. One In mould layer with a much harder and thicker outer shell layer. These layers are not closely interconnected and the helmet itself is nevertheless characterised by a higher weight thanks to this construction.
    Active ventilation
    The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.
    EN 1077 certification
    This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
    Soft ear muffs
    Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.
    EPS inner shell
    Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
    Monomatic fastening
    The chin strap uses a Monomatic type closure. This is a very precise locking system that allows multi-stage adjustment. Operating this fastener with ski gloves is not a problem, and the system itself does not allow spontaneous release.
    Integrated viewfinder
    The construction with an integrated visor guarantees a well-fitting visor to the shape of the helmet. In addition, the lens has a much larger surface area than that used in goggles, which increases the field of vision and, thanks to the large space between the visor and the face, corrective goggles can be worn without difficulty.

    Fas Adapting System - The strap system responsible for the precise fit of the UVEX helmet. It ensures that the helmet adapts well to the different head shapes and holds firmly in any situation. It thus increases safety and comfort.
    Supravision®
    The Supravision® technology used in the goggles ensures optimum vision in all weather conditions. This is a special coating applied to the inner part of the lenses to prevent the glasses from fogging up, even in large temperature changes.
    Hardshell
    Special helmet shell moulding technology applied to EPS foam. Guarantees high resistance to external impacts and absorbs shocks.
    IAS
    The IAS system allows adjustment of both the circumference of the helmet and the depth of the helmet on the head.
    OTG (Over The Glasses)
    The OTG (Over The Glasses) system has been designed for people who wear prescription glasses. Thanks to the specially widened frame design and contoured interior, it allows for comfortable wearing of goggles without pressure on the lenses or frames. It ensures full visibility, comfort and a stable fit even during prolonged use.
