POC Fovea Photochromic hydrogen white/photochromic/changeable sky blue ski goggles (40844)

The POC Fovea Photochromic ski goggles set a new standard in on-slope visibility thanks to the use of Clarity Photochromic lens with variable light transmission ranging from 13–55%. Advanced photochromic technology allows for automatic adjustment of tint levels according to current lighting conditions, resulting in optimal comfort and safety while skiing.

Clarity Photochromic Lens and UV-400 Protection

The Clarity Photochromic lens in the POC Fovea Photochromic model smoothly transitions its tint category from S1 to S3, effectively filtering light across a wide range and minimizing glare. UV-400 protection guarantees full barrier against harmful ultraviolet radiation, which translates into a high level of eye protection in challenging mountain conditions. The lens technology also ensures excellent clarity of vision regardless of changing weather.

Versatility and Adaptability

Thanks to the photochromic lens, the Fovea Photochromic model performs effectively in both sunny days and low-light conditions, seamlessly transitioning through categories S1, S2, and S3. The goggles' design has been optimised for use in variable weather conditions, allowing for quick response to sudden weather changes. The flexibility of the technologies used makes these goggles a versatile choice for demanding skiers and snowboarders.

Advantages

UV protection 400
The UV 400 filter used in the glazing is guaranteed to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It blocks 99.9% of wavelengths up to 400 nanometres, both UVA, UVB and UVC. The use of goggles with UV protection is a cornerstone that can prevent serious health problems.
Photochromic window
The photochromic windscreen provides comfort when driving in changing weather and lighting conditions. The photochromic lens adjusts the degree of darkening itself, protecting the eyes from sudden glare and preventing insufficient visibility when driving into shaded areas.
Hydrophobic coating
The lens has been coated with a special coating so that drops hitting the lens surface do not smear, but drip off. This does not impair visual acuity in difficult conditions. The lens itself is thus easy to keep clean, as the coating repels water and grease, and fingerprints rub off very easily.
Glazing category S1-S3
The S1-S3 rated glazing is a variable brightness glazing that adapts its shading to the prevailing light conditions on the slopes. On cloudy days they take on the S1 category, during moderate conditions S2 and in stronger sunlight S3.
Anti-Fog coating
Temperature fluctuations can cause unwanted fogging on the inside of the lens. To prevent this effect from occurring, the lens is treated with a special coating that prevents fogging. This increases safety and comfort when on the slopes.
Anti-fog
An anti-fog coating that is applied, among other things, to the surface of specialised spectacle lenses. The Anti-fog coating retains its properties regardless of weather conditions, even when in contact with water. As a result, it contributes to maintaining undisturbed visual acuity, which increases the comfort and safety of the wearer.
Clarity Lens Technology
By adjusting the colour curve and controlling the spectrum, the lenses enhance every detail, providing a full image and clear vision of objects.
