Safe Hard Shell construction

The helmet shell is made using Hard Shell technology with expanded polystyrene (EPS), guaranteeing high energy absorption in the event of impacts and durability of the entire structure. Additional safety is confirmed by the EN 1077: 2007 CLASS B certification, recognised in the ski industry. The integration of a durable and mechanically resistant visor further enhances head protection for children.

Adjustment and fitting systems

Precise fitting of the UVEX Rocket Visor Jr model is ensured by the IAS and FAS systems, allowing individual adjustment of both the circumference and the chin straps. The Monomatic buckle enables quick and easy fastening and unfastening of the helmet with one hand. The Soft ear pads increase user comfort, protecting against wind and cold.

Advanced visor and passive ventilation

The integrated visor of the helmet features a Supravision® coating, providing anti-fog protection and clear visibility even during intense activities. Advantages

Impact protection

Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.

Hardshell construction

The construction combines two layers. One In mould layer with a much harder and thicker outer shell layer. These layers are not closely interconnected and the helmet itself is nevertheless characterised by a higher weight thanks to this construction.

Passive ventilation

Permanently integrated into the helmet, the ventilation channels let fresh air in through the openings at the front and let excess heat and moisture out through the rear openings. Thanks to this solution, the goggles do not evaporate and the head is kept comfortable during activity.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

EPS inner shell

Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.

Monomatic fastening

The chin strap uses a Monomatic type closure. This is a very precise locking system that allows multi-stage adjustment. Operating this fastener with ski gloves is not a problem, and the system itself does not allow spontaneous release.

Integrated viewfinder

The construction with an integrated visor guarantees a well-fitting visor to the shape of the helmet. In addition, the lens has a much larger surface area than that used in goggles, which increases the field of vision and, thanks to the large space between the visor and the face, corrective goggles can be worn without difficulty.

FAS

Fas Adapting System - The strap system responsible for the precise fit of the UVEX helmet. It ensures that the helmet adapts well to the different head shapes and holds firmly in any situation. It thus increases safety and comfort.

Supravision®

The Supravision® technology used in the goggles ensures optimum vision in all weather conditions. This is a special coating applied to the inner part of the lenses to prevent the glasses from fogging up, even in large temperature changes.

Hardshell

Special helmet shell moulding technology applied to EPS foam. Guarantees high resistance to external impacts and absorbs shocks.

IAS

The IAS system allows adjustment of both the circumference of the helmet and the depth of the helmet on the head.
