I've already done a few dozen km in these shoes and I'm satisfied. Good cushioning (although it doesn't feel like you're 'on a cloud'), they also perform well at a faster pace. The workmanship makes a good impression, although I'll really find out in a while. A pleasant surprise is that even when I splashed them by running into a puddle, they didn't get as wet as I expected.

A completely different shoe to previous models....
I have been running in Mizuno Wave Rider shoes for a dozen years. Every year I bought a new model blind and the shoes fit like a glove. The 28 Riders are a completely different shoe, I'm not saying bad, but they don't fit well on a wide foot anymore, as if sized down. That's why they are going for a return. I stress again, I'm not saying they are bad. They look as solid as ever, but if you buy a new model blind every year then this time it's better to try them on first.
