The foot grips better inside the boot and does not move while riding, which in turn allows more precision and control of manoeuvres and turns. The hard shell minimises the risk of injury and the boot fits tightly to the foot, providing stability. In addition, this design eliminates common mistakes that occur when learning to skate, such as ankle valgus, enabling a smoother mastery of basic skills.
