Smith Squad XL terra flow/everyday red/storm blue sensor ski goggles (M00675)
Smith Squad XL ski goggles are not only an expression of fashionable style but above all are filled with the most advanced technological solutions dedicated to enthusiasts of white madness.
The Carbonic-x lens with a cylindrical shape stands out not only for its impact resistance but also provides extraordinary image clarity. This is a key aspect, especially when terrain details are extremely important. ChromaPop™ technology significantly improves contrast perception and color intensity, which increases safety and comfort of use. It is an excellent choice for those looking for goggles that provide the highest image quality during skiing.
The innovative Airflow technology actively supports ventilation, which is essential in maintaining the optimal temperature inside the goggles. It prevents condensation and ensures comfort even during intense effort. Fog-X is an anti-fog technology, which is crucial in maintaining continuous, good visibility. Thanks to it, even in the most demanding conditions, the skier's vision remains unobstructed.
Squad XL goggles have been designed to work perfectly with Smith helmets. This synergy ensures maximum functionality, comfort, and performance.
Advantages
Very good
I had the pleasure of testing in sunny and cloudy conditions. The red lens is sufficient even in bright sunshine, while the yellow improves visibility a little on cloudy days. I ordered an additional black lens for strong sun - unnecessarily, the red one works fine.
The goggles are large but fit my head and helmet perfectly, with a good fit and no evaporation.
I previously had goggles for ~£200 with a single lens and could feel the difference in visibility, the chromapop actually increases contrast slightly.
The only small downside is the glass changing system. You have to practice changing them before you go out on the slopes because it's tiring and takes ~3 minutes once you get the hang of it (you have to watch tutorials on yt). So there's no way to change your skins quickly, which is useful when, for example, you're skiing down a sunny slope and then suddenly the rest of the way is in heavy shade.
