A system used in avalanche rucksacks, developed by Black Diamond in collaboration with the PIEPS brand. It consists of a cushion that is filled with air by a special compressor equipped with batteries. In the event of an avalanche emergency, all you have to do is pull a special handle with which the compressor fires and fills the cushion with air in a few seconds. This system is reusable, protects the head and increases the volume of the user in the event of an avalanche abduction.
