Hip belt
The most important task of the hip belt is to take the weight on the hips, thus relieving pressure on the spine and shoulders, which is crucial during long and demanding hikes on mountain trails.
Laptop pocket
A dedicated laptop compartment, separated from the main compartment of the backpack, allows the user to transport their equipment safely and comfortably, without fear of damage from contact with the other contents.

The DWR coating makes the fabric water repellent, so that water forms droplets on its surface and runs off instead of soaking in. This protects the fabric from getting wet quickly, providing greater comfort in wet conditions, but does not guarantee full water repellency.

Carrying system used in The North Face brand backpacks. The lumbar panel provides air circulation and the padded back panel ensures comfort on long hikes. The shoulder straps are lined with foam, moulded under high pressure. They sit well on the shoulders without causing pressure and relieving pressure on the collarbone.
I've only used it in the city/metropolis, at the office, but also daily when I walk and/or cycle a lot.
It has many compartments to put devices, bike lock, water, clothes and many other odds and ends. The back padding and straps are comfortable and a big plus.
I haven't used it for hiking yet, but will soon.
Overall, I am very happy with the product.

I use this rucksack for metropolis city life, especially when walking or cycling, and in the office. It has several useful compartments for devices, bike lock, water, small change, etc.
It is 100% synthetics/plastics, which is why I recommend you burn the remaining tin ends with a lighter. I haven't taken it hiking yet, but I will soon. The good thing is that it also comes with a whistle which is useful for bears and/or other emergency situations.
