This is my third pair of Mafate. Extremely durable shoes, with sensational cushioning and the best rubber compound on the sole in my opinion - Vibram Megagrip. For long mountain runs, in terms of durability and comfort, I see no alternatives. I sincerely recommend

Mega pegs.
The pegs are large but there is a lot of cushioning and you don't really feel them, even on asphalt. On concrete, the sound is as if they were trying to bite into the pavement. Mud does not stick. Very comfortable. Wider than speedgolf and more flexible. Very breathable. The heel counter is a real bed. Holds the foot well. Very suitable for hard terrain. They dry quickly. Highly recommended.

The shoes are great, it's a pity they are so scarcely available. Unfortunately they have two disadvantages - the holes for the laces break and the sensitive sole, but they are still great to run in.

The pattern is super! The outsole sticks to muddy and wet rocks, plus the sneakers are very comfortable. After 2 races of 12 km they have no visible signs of wear.

Excellent shoes for fast off-road walking and trail running. The sole holds up well in the wet, it just wears out faster. The foot doesn't need to get used to the shoe, at least I don't have any blisters and they don't need to come apart. Super fit from the first kilometer. I have the fourth mafaty, against the previous generation, there are no stones in the holes in the sole. I recommend the shoes!

A little wider than the speedgota5 and with a nicer tongue and better cushioning. An awesome shoe. Pity there is no wide version.
