The Giro Helios Spherical Mips is a bicycle helmet designed for demanding users who value not only protection but also comfort while riding. High-quality materials and advanced technologies guarantee quality and craftsmanship.

Additional protection is provided by MIPS® technology, which reduces the risk of brain injury during a fall. This system includes an extra layer inside the helmet that is separated from the main lining material and allows rotation in different directions upon angled impact, enabling absorption and dissipation of impact force. The helmet lining is made of EPS, which allows for additional energy absorption and effective cushioning.

The shell is made using In-Mold technology, which involves bonding the outer helmet shell with the inner EPS lining by injecting hot plastic without the use of glue. This creates a unified structure that provides exceptional durability and impact resistance.

The helmet has a CPSC Bicycle certification, confirming its safety and compliance with the highest quality standards.

Spherical Technology

The technology uses a ball-and-socket design powered by MIPS®, which reduces rotational forces. The outer liner of the helmet rotates around the inner liner during impact, providing more comprehensive protection and performance by gradually overlapping the liners.

MIPS®

Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.

Deep Internal Channeling

The internal ventilation duct in Giro helmets. It forces fresh, cool air to flow around the head, ensuring the efficiency of the ventilation system.

Wind Tunnel Wentilation

An extremely efficient helmet ventilation system patented by the Giro brand. It consists of a combination of vents in the shell of the helmet with exhaust channels inside. The result is a constant influx of fresh air and routing it around the cyclist's head and pushing stale air outwards.

Roc Loc 5 Air MIPS Fit System

A helmet adjustment system that ensures a perfect fit, stability and ventilation performance. Adjustment is done in seconds with one hand. In a comfortable fitting helmet, the space between the shell and the head is maintained, allowing cool air to flow freely.

In-Mould

In-mold is a manufacturing method in which the outer shell of the helmet is permanently bonded to a layer of inner protective foam during moulding. This makes the helmet lighter, more durable and better absorbs impacts. The process also provides an aesthetically pleasing finish and increased structural durability.
