Hydrophobicity
The jacket is designed to protect the wearer from adverse conditions. The fabric has hydrophobic properties, providing protection against rain as it effectively repels water molecules.
Synthetic filling
A synthetic filling is used in this model to ensure optimum warmth. The synthetic fibres already start to warm the wearer after a while and are anti-allergenic and easy to maintain.
Chin guard
For optimum comfort, the high collar is finished with an element that protects the chin from chafing caused by the zip.
Ventilators
Hiking jackets are often designed with rain protection in mind, so there are times when they need support in wicking away water vapour. This product features vents to allow proper air circulation.
Durable material
The construction and fabric make it extremely durable and much more resistant to damage, so it will last a long time, even under heavy use.
Waterproof
The materials used are characterised by their water-repellency, so that the product provides protection against rain and leaves the inside of the garment dry and comfortable even during long expeditions.
Helmet-compatible hood
The hood protects against bad weather conditions, but in mountain conditions impact protection is often still needed. The hood offers the possibility to use it in combination with a helmet.
DWR
The DWR coating makes the fabric water repellent, so that water forms droplets on its surface and runs off instead of soaking in. This protects the fabric from getting wet quickly, providing greater comfort in wet conditions, but does not guarantee full water repellency.
Cordura®
A fabric made of polyamide fibres, coated with a layer of Teflon, renowned for its extraordinary resistance to adverse external factors. The fabric is lightweight, waterproof and very durable. It is used in the manufacture of specialised clothing and footwear, but also backpacks, harnesses and protectors.
