The helmet is designed to provide safety and comfort on the slopes. Salomon created the Pioneer Lt helmet, which offers a high level of safety. Under the outer hard yet lightweight shell made of PC there is Salomon's patented EPS 4D foam. It is responsible for excellent absorption of energy from lateral and vertical impacts. Pioneer Lt meets European and American safety standards for ski helmets.          

Comfort during skiing is ensured by the helmet's very good ventilation, the AirFlow System. Numerous ventilation channels run through the EPS 4D lining. They enable optimal airflow, removal of excess heat, and help maintain the proper temperature around the head. Additionally, the airflow level can be manually adjusted.

During intense activity, the scalp may sweat more. Thanks to the use of AdvancedSkin ActiveDry technology, the material dries quickly, which increases comfort. If needed, the helmet's lining can easily be removed and washed in a washing machine. This helps maintain a high level of hygiene, especially after intense activity on the slopes.
