The In-Mold construction combining polycarbonate with expanded polystyrene ensures durability and effective protection. It features hard ear covers that provide additional protection for the ears in harsh weather conditions.

Technologies and construction

The UVEX Race 4 ski helmet uses In-Mold technology, which involves a durable bond between the outer and inner layers, increasing its resistance to impacts. The monomatic system allows for easy and quick fastening of the buckle with one hand. The lack of a adjustment system may be important for those who prefer a standard fit.

Technologies

monomatic system

A quick fastening system used in bicycle helmets that allows free adjustment and fit to the wearer.

In-Mould

In-mold is a manufacturing method in which the outer shell of the helmet is permanently bonded to a layer of inner protective foam during moulding. This makes the helmet lighter, more durable and better absorbs impacts. The process also provides an aesthetically pleasing finish and increased structural durability.

Hear+ Ear Pads

Soft, replaceable hear+ ear pads provide high comfort even during long wear. Their structure supports ventilation and effectively reduces pressure points around the ears. This improves fit and increases comfort without compromising protective properties.

Coolmax® ecomade

COOLMAX® EcoMade is an advanced functional fabric designed for effective moisture wicking and quick drying, helping to keep your skin dry even during intense activity. The specially structured fibres support temperature regulation and improve comfort in changing conditions.
