Product description

Ski helmet UVEX Horizon CV MIPS warm grey matt (56/6/344/12/03)

UVEX Horizon CV MIPS ski helmet warm grey matt is an advanced protective model that combines modern technologies and a solid construction. Its hybrid design ensures durability and safety, while the Mips® system further protects against rotational impact forces.

Advanced technologies

The UVEX Horizon CV MIPS ski helmet uses technologies that enhance comfort and functionality. The OTG (Over The Glasses) system allows for comfortable wearing of goggles over glasses, which is important for people who wear corrective lenses daily. Colorvision® and Supravision® improve visibility in challenging lighting conditions, leading to better perception of the surroundings while skiing. Additionally, active ventilation helps regulate the temperature inside the helmet.

Construction and safety

UVEX Horizon CV MIPS ski helmet warm grey matt features a hybrid shell construction made from materials such as ABS, PC, and EPS, providing high impact resistance. The EN 1077:2007 B certification confirms compliance with European safety standards. Soft ear pads and Hear+ Ear Pads enhance wearing comfort while allowing good perception of surrounding sounds, which can be crucial on the slopes.

Adjustment and comfort

The UVEX Horizon CV MIPS ski helmet features an IAS adjustment system and a dial that allows for precise fitting to the shape of the head. The Monomatic system ensures easy and quick buckling of the chin strap, and the removable, washable lining facilitates hygiene maintenance. The built-in visor with a category 2 tint protects against excessive sunlight.

Technologies

FAS

Fas Adapting System - The strap system responsible for the precise fit of the UVEX helmet. It ensures that the helmet adapts well to the different head shapes and holds firmly in any situation. It thus increases safety and comfort.

monomatic system

A quick fastening system used in bicycle helmets that allows free adjustment and fit to the wearer.

Colorvision

Three innovative colour filters provide exceptional contrast and excellent visibility in all conditions and terrain.

Supravision®

The Supravision® technology used in the goggles ensures optimum vision in all weather conditions. This is a special coating applied to the inner part of the lenses to prevent the glasses from fogging up, even in large temperature changes.

MIPS®

Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.

IAS

The IAS system allows adjustment of both the circumference of the helmet and the depth of the helmet on the head.

Hear+ Ear Pads

Soft, replaceable hear+ ear pads provide high comfort even during long wear. Their structure supports ventilation and effectively reduces pressure points around the ears. This improves fit and increases comfort without compromising protective properties.

OTG (Over The Glasses)

The OTG (Over The Glasses) system has been designed for people who wear prescription glasses. Thanks to the specially widened frame design and contoured interior, it allows for comfortable wearing of goggles without pressure on the lenses or frames. It ensures full visibility, comfort and a stable fit even during prolonged use.
