The Aero Technium MgS XTD model is exactly the kind of product that can be used for both fishing methods. It is a combination of technology, aerodynamics, and immense power.

The body of this model is made from durable Hagane Body material. It is a cold-forged, lightweight, and strong magnesium.

For the first time in the history of Shimano reels, a combination of Super Slow 10 oscillation with a new spool shape has been used, which has an enlarged surface and raised profile, very useful for long casts. This solution allows achieving 107 wraps per cycle, which minimizes line friction during casts.

To ensure the greatest durability and resistance of the reel to harsh weather conditions, a X-Protect sealing system has been applied, including a labyrinth construction of the anti-reverse bearing seat and the guide roller. Thanks to this, the chance of water or sand entering the reel’s interior has been minimized.
