The Exsence A reel by Shimano is a technologically advanced model designed for spinning fishing. Its housing is made of magnesium, making it extremely lightweight and durable, and it features unparalleled power. Its gear is made from a single piece of material using Hagane technology. This involves precise cold forging. It is a key metalworking process used by Shimano. The material is not mechanically processed but shaped under very high pressure, which translates into its long lifespan and durability.

A major advantage of this model is the use of the Silent Drive system, characterized by exceptionally quiet operation. It is supported by Micromodule II-generation gears, which, thanks to microscopic teeth, create less friction and are better matched, thereby reducing vibrations during cranking.
