Men's ski boots Atomic Hawx Magna 130 S GW black/red (AE5032720)

Men's ski boots Atomic Hawx Magna 130 S GW black/red have been designed for the most demanding skiers who expect the highest level of control and precision while skiing all mountain. The use of advanced construction technologies and modern materials ensures excellent performance in all conditions and a personalised fit to the foot.

Prolite Construction and Materials

The Atomic Hawx Magna 130 S GW features Prolite technology, based on an ultra-lightweight construction reinforced in key zones, resulting in exceptional stability and low shell weight. The shell of the boot is made from polyurethane, which provides high rigidity and resistance to mechanical deformation. The Energy Backbone technology reinforces critical areas, effectively supporting energy transfer during dynamic skiing.

Individual Fit and Comfort

The Memory Fit system allows for thermoforming of both the shell and the inner boot, enabling the entire design to adapt to the anatomy of the foot. The inner boot, Mimic Platinum, with 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation guarantees optimal temperature maintenance and comfort even during intense use. The Adaptive Fit System Cuff and Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment allow for precise adjustment of the calf circumference and the angle of the cuff.

Advanced Buckle Systems and Sole

The boots are equipped with four aluminium buckles with micro-adjustment and a wide Cam Strap 40/45 mm, allowing for very precise fastening and stabilisation of the foot. The use of Power Ankle Lock (PAL) technology enhances ankle retention, while the 3D Stretch Toe Box construction increases comfort around the toes. The Cantable GripWalk sole provides better traction while walking and meets ISO 23223 – Type A standards.

Advantages

Four buckle fastening
The four-buckle fastening guarantees a precise fit and power transmission from boot to ski. They force considerable knee flex, making them suitable for advanced skiers who want to ski sportily. The fourth buckle usually has a sealing function. Fastening should start with the second buckle, then fasten the first and move on to the lower buckles.
Adjustment
They are equipped with a precise and simple adjustment system that allows them to be tailored to the individual leg structure. This ensures that the foot is well supported, which translates into increased comfort and safety.
Comfort
Comfort during hours of skiing on the slopes is key to enjoying your sport. Well-fitting boots guarantee a good fit to the foot without causing unwanted pressure, optimal warmth and the elimination of foot fatigue.
GripWalk sole
The GripWalk sole is increasingly used in ski boots. It features a rounded profile that makes it easier to walk on when you step out of your skis. This sole is non-slip, so increases safety, and its curved shape allows for natural movement and comfort when walking.
Efficient driving
The construction, the materials and technologies used, as well as the way it fits, are largely responsible for your efficiency when skiing. You will enjoy better control and the ski position will be natural and comfortable.
Calf width adjustment
A good fit to the shape and structure of the leg ensures comfort and safety when skiing. The boot has an adjustment system for the upper so that it can be widened and adjusted to fit the calf. This eliminates excessive pressure.
Moulded inner boot
The inner insole can be adapted to the shape of your foot. Moulding involves heating it in a special oven and placing it on the foot. The heated material becomes mouldable, so that the inner shoe adapts to the individual shape after just a few minutes. This process can be repeated.
Efficient
A good fit, adequate stiffness and bendability at the ankle, as well as the materials and technologies used to manufacture the boots, are responsible for excellent skiing performance.
Matching
The systems used and specially developed technologies allow the shoe to be precisely tailored to the structure of the foot. This translates into increased stability while riding, control, safety and high comfort.
GripWalk
A system used in the soles of ski boots to improve walking comfort. The GripWalk soles are fully coated with a high-friction material for grip on any surface. The integrated ribbed tread enables direct and efficient energy transfer to the bindings.
Prolite
Innovative construction of skis and ski boots that contributes to their lightness and durability. The skier gains improved agility, comfort and a feeling of stability in all conditions.
Memory Fit
Foot-fitting shoe technology developed by the ATOMIC brand. A few moments after the shoe is heated and put on, the shell, insole and filling become fully personalised.
Energy Backbone
Asymmetrical ski boot core. It is strong and durable. Constructed so that forces are evenly distributed during skiing, resulting in improved comfort and performance.
Adaptive Fit System Cuff
A removable spoiler system used in Atomic ski boots that allows skiers to increase the volume and shape of the upper by one full size.
Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment
Double-sided adjustment of the inner boot upper in an Atomic ski boot. The process is carried out using high temperatures.
3D Stretch Toe Box
A special inner boot structure from HEAD created with the big toe in mind. When extra millimetres are needed, the inner liner stretches to provide a comfortable fit.
Power Shift
Atomic brand technology. Allows you to change the angle of the ski boot upper relative to the ground. It also allows you to reduce or increase the stiffness of the boot by 10 flex points.
Mimic
Ski boot insole developed by Atomic. Thanks to the use of specialised foam, an individual fit of the boot to the foot is guaranteed. Before first use, warm up the boot and then insert the foam into the insole according to the instructions and place your foot in it.
Velcro Spoiler
A solution used in ski boots. It uses a special spoiler, which is attached with Velcro to the inner boot, enabling a better fit of the equipment. Depending on the user's needs, the spoiler can be unfastened.
Power Ankle Lock (PAL)
The Power Ankle Lock (PAL) system stabilises the ankle, limiting excessive movement and improving energy transfer to the skis. Thanks to its precise fit, it increases control over turns and supports more confident footing in the boot. This solution combines safety with better ground feel, resulting in a more dynamic ride.

Step-by-step explanation of how to accurately measure your foot length

    1. Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall.

    2. Make sure you are wearing thin ski socks. Always make sure to wear thin socks while skiing – if you wear thicker ski socks, you will get colder faster and have pressure points.

    3. Wearing thin ski socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.

    4. Then use a pen to draw a line directly at the end of your big toe. Repeat for the other foot.

    5. Using a ruler, measure the distances between the wall and the lines you drew in centimeters. Use the longer distance to determine your size. Your centimeter length equals your mondo point size.

    Narrow Fit

Narrow fit boots have a forefoot width of 98 millimeters (boot size MP 26/26.5), and offer a lower volume fit overall. They've been developed for skiers with slim feet and anyone looking for a precise fit for direct power transmission.

    Medium Fit

A medium fit boot is a boot with a last width of 100 millimeters (boot size MP 26/26.5). These average lasted boots have a more relaxed fit through the midfoot and heel and fit most skiers perfectly.

    Wide Fit

Wide fit boots have a forefoot width of 102 millimeters (boot size MP 26/26.5). These higher volume boots are suited for skiers with broad feet and larger calves.
