    Innovative K2 Technologies

    The K2 Excavator snowboard is equipped with many modern technologies that significantly enhance its performance. The Hybritech™ construction and the use of Volume Shift™ technology allow for maximum utilisation of the board’s surface, resulting in better control and manoeuvrability. Additionally, the S1 Core technology provides exceptional lightness, making dynamic movements easier.

    Advanced Materials

    The K2 Excavator snowboard uses ICG™ 10 Biaxial Carbon Glass laminate, enriched with carbon fibres, ensuring the highest quality ride. Another advantage is the Carbon Power Fork™, which increases the board’s flexibility while maintaining its stiffness. The board also features a WAX-INFUSED SINTERED 4001 base, providing excellent speed and durability.

    Technologies
    SINTERED BASES
    A material processing technology used to produce sintered bases. Crushing polyethylene granules under high pressure produces a porous base that absorbs wax better and is more resistant to abrasion, extending the life of the snowboard or ski.
    Carbon Power Fork
    A strategically shaped carbon additive used in snowboards that increases in width towards the tail. It flexes in a dynamic way and transfers energy while being ultra-lightweight. It provides improved board response and energy return while riding.
    ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Glass
    A fibreglass laminate combined with carbon fibre to increase pop and prolong the life of the board, without adding too much stiffness. With this technology, the fibres run in two directions.
    Volume Shift™
    The use of Volume Shift™ construction technology has allowed the board to be reduced in size without sacrificing buoyancy and stability. Underfoot, the density of the board has been increased to provide excellent manoeuvrability.
    HYBRITECH CONSTRUCTION
    A patented ski and board construction from the K2 brand. It consists of side walls along the edge that affect the bow and tail zones. The low mass at the ends results in less resistance when transitioning from edge to edge. As a result, turns are easier to make, the ride is more controlled and the equipment is durable and lightweight.
    S1 Core
    The S1 Core combines the lightness of wood with the durability of plastics, creating a stable and resilient structure. Thanks to its reduced density structure, it provides better vibration damping, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride. It is ideal for all-mountain and freeride models.
