The UVEX Gravitate warm grey matt ski helmet has been designed for demanding users who prioritise safety and comfort during all-mountain riding. The construction incorporates modern technologies that effectively combine protection with user comfort.

Hybrid shell construction

The model features a hybrid design, combining an outer layer made of synthetic polymer ABS and polycarbonate with an inner shell made of EPS polystyrene. This combination offers high impact resistance while maintaining low weight and optimal energy absorption during collisions. The EN 1077:2007 B certification confirms the helmet's compliance with safety standards for ski equipment.

Adjustment and fit systems

The IAS fit adjustment system allows for precise fitting of the helmet circumference to the user’s individual needs. The FAS system is also used, enabling easy regulation of strap length, while the Monomatic buckle provides quick and convenient fastening under the chin with one hand. These features ensure a stable and ergonomic positioning of the helmet during dynamic riding.

Impact protection

Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.

Active ventilation

The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.

The hybrid construction combines the advantages of in mould construction and hardshell construction. Part of the helmet has a hard shell and the rest is covered with lighter foam, making the helmet weigh less.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

EPS inner shell

Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.

Monomatic fastening

The chin strap uses a Monomatic type closure. This is a very precise locking system that allows multi-stage adjustment. Operating this fastener with ski gloves is not a problem, and the system itself does not allow spontaneous release.

A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.
