Integrated Obex Connect headset

The POC Obex Connect helmet is equipped with an integrated headset that enables communication within a group of up to 8 people simultaneously. Thanks to this feature, you can easily share information about snow conditions, potential hazards, or simply plan the next meeting, significantly increasing safety and riding comfort.

twICEme® NFC Medical ID – medical information always at hand

The built-in twICEme® NFC Medical ID chip allows storing key medical information that in an emergency can be quickly read via smartphone by companions or rescuers. This is a feature that can save lives in difficult mountain conditions.

RECCO® Reflector – easier location in emergency situations

The helmet is equipped with a RECCO® Avalanche Rescue Reflector, which allows rescue services to quickly locate the user in case of an avalanche or other crisis situation. This is an additional layer of safety that increases peace of mind during mountain exploration.

Mips Evolve – protection against rotational forces

The classic Mips Evolve system enhances head protection against rotational forces during angled impacts, minimizing the risk of serious injuries. This solution raises the level of safety in the most challenging conditions.

360° fit system and adjustable ventilation

The 360° adjustment system allows quick and easy customization of the helmet to the shape of the head, ensuring maximum comfort and stability. Regulatable ventilation openings enable airflow control, guaranteeing optimal temperature in all weather conditions.

Advantages

Impact protection
Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
PC shell
The shell is made of durable polycarbonate. It is a durable and abrasion- and impact-resistant material, characterised by its low weight. It is able to dissipate more impact force than thermoplastic and is relatively cheap to produce, resulting in a more attractive helmet price.
Active ventilation
The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.
Ergonomic design
The ergonomic shape ensures a high level of comfort when skiing. This helmet design allows undisturbed airflow, which also improves ventilation inside the shell.
Hybrid design
The hybrid construction combines the advantages of in mould construction and hardshell construction. Part of the helmet has a hard shell and the rest is covered with lighter foam, making the helmet weigh less.
EN 1077 certification
This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
Buckle fastening
The chin strap uses a classic buckle fastening. It is easy to use, but fastening and unfastening it can be problematic with winter gloves. It will work well with helmets designed for slightly older children.
ABS shell
The shell is made of a synthetic polymer that is highly scratch-resistant and characterised by high hardness and strength. It is also characterised by high resistance to deformation.
EPS inner shell
Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
Adjustment of size by means of a dial
A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.
ASTM F2040 certification
This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.
RECCO®
A patented safety system for avalanche emergencies. The technology involves placing a transmitter inside clothing or footwear that is compatible with the detector used by rescuers.
MIPS®
Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.
twICEme® NFC
It is a technology designed to enhance human safety. The use of this technology in equipment such as a helmet will allow safety information such as medical data, coordinates or phone numbers to be provided to loved ones.
In-Mould
In-mold is a manufacturing method in which the outer shell of the helmet is permanently bonded to a layer of inner protective foam during moulding. This makes the helmet lighter, more durable and better absorbs impacts. The process also provides an aesthetically pleasing finish and increased structural durability.
