Alpina Brix midnight/ grey matt ski helmet (A9252235)

Alpina Brix Ski Helmet is a technologically advanced product designed for winter sports enthusiasts. It uses an IN-MOLD construction, which means its polycarbonate shell is directly bonded to the EPS liner, enhancing durability and comfort. This helmet weighs only 424 g, making it lightweight and comfortable to wear, even during long days on the slopes.

Closure and Adjustment

The Alpina Brix helmet is equipped with the technologically advanced Ergomatic buckle, which allows for quick and easy fastening and unfastening, even with gloves on. The adjustment system includes the Run System Ergo Snow dial, which provides a personalized fit to the shape of the head. Additionally, the Y-Clip system allows precise adjustment of the chin straps, increasing stability during dynamic descents.

Ventilation and Technologies

Optimal airflow is ensured by Airflow Venting and Airstream Control technologies, which together provide effective ventilation, eliminating excess heat from inside the helmet. This technology is especially important during intense physical exertion, where maintaining a comfortable head temperature is key to performance.

Safety

The Alpina Brix ski helmet complies with the En 1077:2007 B standard, meaning it meets strict requirements for head protection in winter sports. Technologies such as CERAMIC SHELL and EDGE PROTECT further enhance user protection by increasing resistance to impacts and scratches.

Summary

Thanks to the combination of a lightweight design, effective adjustment systems, advanced ventilation, and compliance with safety standards, the Alpina Brix helmet is an excellent choice for all skiers and snowboarders seeking a product that combines comfort with advanced head protection.

Advantages

Impact protection
Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
PC shell
The shell is made of durable polycarbonate. It is a durable and abrasion- and impact-resistant material, characterised by its low weight. It is able to dissipate more impact force than thermoplastic and is relatively cheap to produce, resulting in a more attractive helmet price.
Passive ventilation
Permanently integrated into the helmet, the ventilation channels let fresh air in through the openings at the front and let excess heat and moisture out through the rear openings. Thanks to this solution, the goggles do not evaporate and the head is kept comfortable during activity.
EN 1077 certification
This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
Soft ear muffs
Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.
EPS inner shell
Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
In-mould construction
This construction mainly combines different types of in mould foam of different hardnesses. These layers are closely linked to the outer layer of material, which is much harder. This construction makes the helmet extremely lightweight.
Adjustment of size by means of a dial
A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.
Ergomatic clasp
The chin strap uses an Ergomatic-type fastener, which is highly durable. It allows multi-stage adjustment at the touch of a button and locking of the buckle. Ergomatic can even be operated with ski gloves.
Run System Ergo Snow
Ski helmet adjustment system with a large, easy-to-grip two-component wheel and two large, cushioned pads at the back of the head to absorb pressure and ensure a precise fit.
Airflow Venting
A ventilation system for Alpina helmets, taking care of breathability and comfort. It consists of strategically pampered vents through which air enters under the helmet. Fresh air is then guided around the head and exhausted to the outside through as many vents.
Airstream Control
The Airstream Control technology used in Alpina helmets makes it possible to regulate the airflow by means of vents that can be opened and closed. This allows optimum adaptation to weather conditions and ensures that the ideal climate inside the helmet is maintained at all times.
Ergomatic
Ergomatic technology, used in Alpina helmets, is a proven buckle system featuring a red button and an automatic locking mechanism. Thanks to its one-handed operation, the strap can be easily adjusted to your needs while riding and the locking mechanism will not open automatically in the event of a fall.
Hi-EPS
Hi-EPS is an innovative technology used in Alpina helmets, whose microscopic air chambers effectively absorb the forces generated during impact. Thanks to the use of Hi-EPS, the helmets offer optimum protection while remaining slim and thin-walled for increased comfort.
Y-Clip
The Y-Clip technology in Alpina helmets allows the straps under the ear to be precisely adjusted to keep the helmet in the optimum position in the event of an impact.
CERAMIC SHELL
The innovative top shell of the helmet is made of Ceramic SHEEL material. This is a lightweight and thin material that is extremely resistant to damage, scratches, UV radiation and also has anti-static properties.
EDGE PROTECT
This is an additional polycarbonate plate that gives Inmold helmets an elegant finish. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This manufacturing process ensures that there are no sharp edges in Inmold helmets, reducing the risk of injury.
INMOLD
The Inmold helmet manufacturing process involves heating the outer polycarbonate layer of the helmet to a high temperature and then bonding it to the inner EPS layer by applying high pressure. The result is a permanent bond between the two layers, creating a helmet that is lightweight and extremely stable.
