Black Diamond Distance Spike Traction Device running crampons were designed with mountain and trail runners in mind who need reliable grip on varied terrain covered with snow and ice. Created in collaboration with experienced athletes such as Joe Grant and Kyle Richardson, these crampons represent an innovative combination of performance, comfort, and durability.  

Spikes are positioned to provide optimal traction during toe-off, which is crucial for running efficiency. An additional heel loop facilitates putting on and taking off the crampons and allows for easy identification of their position on the foot.

The crampons are equipped with an industry-first hybrid upper element featuring a softshell toe cover and an elastomer securing the heel. This innovative solution ensures optimal fit, compactness, and protection against snow.
