The DWR coating makes the fabric water repellent, so that water forms droplets on its surface and runs off instead of soaking in. This protects the fabric from getting wet quickly, providing greater comfort in wet conditions, but does not guarantee full water repellency.

The waterproof and breathable membrane creates a barrier that limits the ingress of moisture from the outside, whilst allowing water vapour to escape. It helps to maintain drier and more comfortable conditions during activities in the rain or snow, and the high level of protection makes it suitable for use in challenging weather conditions.
