Product description

Ski helmet SCOTT Flow MIPS mist blue (424194)

SCOTT Flow MIPS ski helmet mist blue is an advanced product that combines modern protection and comfort technologies. The use of the Mips® system increases safety by reducing the forces acting on the head during a fall. The In-Mold construction ensures the lightweight and durability of the helmet.

Safety and technologies

The SCOTT Flow MIPS ski helmet utilises Mips® technology, which protects the brain from the harmful effects of rotational movements during an accident. The In-Mold construction, combining polycarbonate with expanded polystyrene, guarantees solid protection while maintaining a low weight. The 360° PURE SOUND technology improves audibility, significantly affecting orientation on the slope.

Comfort of use

The SCOTT Flow MIPS features an adjustment system with a dial that allows for precise fitting of the helmet to the head, increasing wearing comfort. Active ventilation enables the regulation of airflow, ensuring the maintenance of optimal temperature inside the helmet. The buckle closure allows for quick and easy putting on and taking off of the helmet.

Materials and construction

The SCOTT Flow MIPS ski helmet is made of durable materials such as polycarbonate and expanded polystyrene, which ensure the longevity of the product. The combination of these materials in the In-Mold construction affects the effective energy absorption during impact, enhancing user safety.

Technologies

MIPS®

Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.

360° PURE SOUND

SCOTT brand helmets use the 360° Pure Sound solution, which is based on specially designed earcups made of sound-permeable material. This enables the wearer to hear their surroundings better and locate sound sources more precisely, increasing safety on the slopes.

In-Mould

In-mold is a manufacturing method in which the outer shell of the helmet is permanently bonded to a layer of inner protective foam during moulding. This makes the helmet lighter, more durable and better absorbs impacts. The process also provides an aesthetically pleasing finish and increased structural durability.
