Product description

Ski helmet UVEX Ultimate Horizon MIPS black/black mat (56/6/345/10/07)

UVEX Ultimate Horizon MIPS ski helmet black/black matte is an advanced solution for winter sports enthusiasts, combining modern technology and solid construction. Equipped with MIPS® technology, it provides additional protection against rotational impact forces, which is a significant advantage on the slopes.

Technologies and innovations

The UVEX Ultimate Horizon ski helmet uses Variomatic® technology, which automatically adjusts the tint of the visor to changing lighting conditions. This provides the user with visual comfort without the need for manual adjustment. The use of Supravision® technology minimises the risk of fogging of the visor, which is particularly useful during intensive use in variable weather conditions.

Construction and materials

UVEX Ultimate Horizon MIPS ski helmet black/black matte features a hybrid construction that combines acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), polycarbonate (PC), and expanded polystyrene (EPS). This combination of materials ensures durability and effective energy dispersion during impacts. Soft ear pads increase wearing comfort, while active ventilation allows for optimal air circulation.

Features and user comfort

The UVEX Ultimate Horizon ski helmet offers a dial adjustment system, allowing for precise fitting to the user's head. The Fidlock® magnetic buckle facilitates quick fastening and unfastening of the helmet, even while wearing gloves. Merino wool used in the lining provides natural thermoregulating properties and comfort. Additionally, the helmet is compatible with optical glasses (OTG), which may be important for those who wear corrective eyewear.

Technologies

FAS

Fas Adapting System - The strap system responsible for the precise fit of the UVEX helmet. It ensures that the helmet adapts well to the different head shapes and holds firmly in any situation. It thus increases safety and comfort.

Variomatic®

Variomatic® technology automatically responds to natural light conditions. The chemical process taking place inside produces a stepless darkening effect on the lens.

Supravision®

The Supravision® technology used in the goggles ensures optimum vision in all weather conditions. This is a special coating applied to the inner part of the lenses to prevent the glasses from fogging up, even in large temperature changes.

MIPS®

Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.

Fidlock®

Magnetic locking systems, characterised by simplicity of use and durability. Modular technology provides the user with a multitude of fastening options.

IAS

The IAS system allows adjustment of both the circumference of the helmet and the depth of the helmet on the head.

Hear+ Ear Pads

Soft, replaceable hear+ ear pads provide high comfort even during long wear. Their structure supports ventilation and effectively reduces pressure points around the ears. This improves fit and increases comfort without compromising protective properties.

OTG (Over The Glasses)

The OTG (Over The Glasses) system has been designed for people who wear prescription glasses. Thanks to the specially widened frame design and contoured interior, it allows for comfortable wearing of goggles without pressure on the lenses or frames. It ensures full visibility, comfort and a stable fit even during prolonged use.
