German brand Ergon is one of the world's largest manufacturers of specialized bicycle accessories like saddles and grips. Ergon is synonymous with evolution and continuous development. Over the years, the company has constantly expanded its product range, improved the already created products and developed innovative technological solutions that significantly improve the functionality of each component.
As early as 2004, the company released a precursor wing grip, which was sold millions of copies worldwide. Just two years later, the brand also developed a specialized backpack with Flink® technology. Ergon also revolutionized the approach to bicycle saddle design. In 2011, it came up with the first saddle model with piping that used innovative EVA foam. At the time, this was a major discovery that improved the comfort of cyclists while riding. Other cutting-edge products that became milestones for both the development of the brand and the cycling industry included the CX2 cockpit, designed for use by XC world champion Irina Kalentieva, as well as a saddle made of biodegradable fibers - the SR2 BioComp.
In 2014, the brand also expanded its offerings with technological bicycle accessories and designed an app that allowed cyclists to select the right saddle for themselves based on the data they entered. Then a state-of-the-art measurement tool that determines a cyclist's posture also saw the light of day.
