Orbea Ordu triathlon bike grey M20LTD (TRI ORDU M20LTD)

The Orbea Tri Ordu bike was designed to fit the widest possible group of cyclists – both triathletes and road cyclists who need a time trial bike compliant with UCI regulations.

Ordu is an elegant combination of aerodynamics, weight, handling, and ergonomics, achieved through over 2500 hours of frame, fork, and cockpit analysis and identifying areas that could be improved and aerodynamic drag reduced.

On the Orbea triathlon bike, a proprietary handlebar was used, allowing precise refinement of the frame and fork interaction and the design of a “front post” mounting system for the extensions.

The reach was extended to increase stability, especially in the aerodynamic position with elbows on the pads. Adjusting the height of the armrest and extensions is easy thanks to the Front Post system, which raises the entire assembly using a single column. This solution is identical to the seatpost clamp concept. Meanwhile, the lower clamp was mounted lower for better weight distribution and balance.

In the Tri Ordu, sizes XS and SM use a front post with a diameter of 150 mm and a travel range of 90 mm, while sizes ML and XL use a front post with a diameter of 200 mm and a travel range of 140 mm. Adjustment is made via two screws located at the front of the handlebar. The wide adjustment range not only ensures precise position setting during riding but also translates into better overall performance.

With just four activation points, the most important cockpit dimensions can be easily adjusted, meaning only a few screws need to be loosened to pack the bike easily for travel.

For this bike, the Spanish brand Orbea focused on integration of every component – brakes, wheels, handlebar, seatpost, hydration system, and storage – resulting in an 11.5% reduction in air resistance.
