    However, Durastretch is not just about flexibility. It is also exceptionally durable and abrasion-resistant. These shorts are made to last for many seasons, and their durability is further enhanced by a hydrophobic treatment, which makes them waterproof. The quick-drying material additionally makes life easier in situations when the weather surprises you with rain.

    The DWR coating makes the fabric water repellent, so that water forms droplets on its surface and runs off instead of soaking in. This protects the fabric from getting wet quickly, providing greater comfort in wet conditions, but does not guarantee full water repellency.
